Hydra joined IETA because we are a small company and know we can achieve much more working together with IETA and their membership. It saves us money and time to leverage IETA tracking relevant developments, raising awareness and lobbying on issues facing Hydra and other members. IETA providing a business focused voice to policymakers as carbon markets proliferate is imperative to ensure markets function fairly and transparently.
We find that IETA, through its working groups, webinars and meetings, is an ideal means to obtain timely and relevant information, to actively participate in international discussions, and to translate current policies into regulations and documents that ensure our programme is aligned with national and international contexts.
With the growth in both regulated and voluntary carbon markets and a renewed focus on international discussions/Article 6 in 2021, it is vital to keep up to date with the latest policy thinking and discussions. IETA and its staff provide valuable policy insights and also offers a unique forum to engage with other businesses involved in carbon markets.
IETA sits at the crossroads of carbon markets and carbon regulators and is equally respected by both camps. Its preeminent position makes it a valuable source of industry intelligence. Any firm looking to operate in the carbon markets would be remiss to not belong to IETA.
