In Memoriam: William “Bill” Pazos

IETA is deeply saddened by the passing of William “Bill” Pazos, CEO and Founder of ACX and a pioneer of the carbon market.

Bill brought vision and a deep belief in the potential of carbon markets to help address climate change. He was part of the early development of the industry and helped shape its growth through his experience in finance and his commitment to building markets that could deliver real-world impact.

His contributions went beyond building businesses. Bill helped bring people together around a shared ambition and leaves a lasting mark on the carbon market community.

IETA extends its heartfelt condolences to Bill’s family, friends, colleagues, and the entire ACX team.

He will be greatly missed.
