IETA is pleased to announce that the IETA London Carbon Market Dialogue will be held on 23 June 2026 as part of London Climate Action Week 2026 (20–28 June 2026). Further details regarding the venue will be shared upon confirmation of attendance.

In an increasingly multipolar world, competitiveness is becoming the organizing principle of climate action. As governments pursue industrial strategies, companies navigate new trade realities, and economies confront rising energy and compute demands, carbon markets are evolving from environmental instruments into platforms for investment, coordination, and economic advantage.

At the halfway point of 2026, this session will take stock of major developments across key global carbon markets and explore how these systems are adapting to a world of “variable geometry”.

Join us for the introduction of The Carbon Case — a new documentary that follows Article 6.2 carbon markets in action across the UK, Singapore, Paraguay, and Mozambique, featuring Presidents Santiago Peña of Paraguay and Daniel Chapo of Mozambique, UK Special Representative for Climate Rachel Kyte, and Singapore's Minister of Environment Grace Fu. The full documentary will be released later in the year.

The panel will focus on actionable engineering, policy, and economic opportunities to reduce methane leaks across oil and gas operations. Natural gas, primarily composed of methane, presents a massive, fast-acting climate opportunity.
