Organised by IETA and co-hosted by Hong Kong's Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (FSTB), the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC), and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), our Asia Climate Summit took place 7-9 July in Hong Kong, China.
Bringing together more than 650 participants from government, business, finance and civil society, IETA's Asia Climate Summit 2026 combined regional leadership with global perspectives, focusing on how carbon markets, international cooperation under Article 6, climate finance, market infrastructure and nature-based solutions can help deliver climate action and support economic growth across Asia and beyond.
The report captures the key insights and discussions from three days in Hong Kong, highlighting the growing momentum behind connected carbon markets and the role they can play in mobilising investment, driving emissions reductions and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.
We extend our sincere thanks to our co-hosts, sponsors, supporting organisations, speakers and participants for helping make ACS 2026 a success.
