Event report on IETA and CEEW's high-level dialogue on Article 6 and India’s low-carbon transition published

IETA and the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) have released a new report summarising insights from their high-level policy dialogue on how Article 6 of the Paris Agreement can support India’s low-carbon transition.

The dialogue brought together representatives from government, industry, research institutions, and civil society to discuss India’s emerging carbon market framework, partnership models, and opportunities to strengthen the country’s leadership in high-integrity international carbon markets.

Participants emphasised that effective Article 6 implementation can help mobilise climate finance, support domestic decarbonisation, and enhance international cooperation. They underscored the importance of building a transparent, robust market framework aligned with national climate goals and informed by lessons from the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
